The 15 Minute Daily Sweep

Is the clutter stacking up? Do you spend your weekends picking up toys, dirty socks and all your other “stuff?” STOP!

Prevent clutter and hours of cleaning with The 15 Minute Daily Sweep. Involving the whole family and committing to this simple process can save you valuable time and create a sense of relief every time you have an unexpected house guest.

Here is how it works.

Step 1: Grab a bag, box or basket. I like to use a laundry basket or reusable grocery bag.

Step 2: Sweep through room #1 and put everything that does not belong in room #1 in the bag/basket.

Step 3: Move to room #2.

  • Take everything that belongs in room #2 out of the bag/basket and put it away.
  • Sweep through room #2 and put everything that doesn’t belong in room #2 in the bag/basket.

Step 4: Move to the next room and repeat process until all rooms in the house have been swept and all items have been put away.

Commit to this process and you will be able to create and maintain a decluttered space with very little effort. This process can be fun for children too. Teach your children to pick up after themselves and create a home for all of their belongings. This makes clean-up time easier in the future too.
